Dr. Lentfer, author of Keep Calm and Teach: Empowering K-12 Learners with Positive Classroom Management Routines

Dr. Victoria Lentfer is the author of the best-selling book, Keep Calm and Teach: Empowering K-12 Students with Positive Classroom Management Routines. Her book has been highly praised by Dr. Susan Swearer from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Swearer is the Chair of the Research Advisory Board for Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation. Dr. Lentfer is a Personal Life Coach, an Educational Consultant, and the founder of the CALM Classroom Management Program, which is a comprehensive behavior management and teacher leader program that provides communication models to guide teachers and students to an inclusive and productive classroom. Dr. Lentfer offers professional learning for new teachers and veteran teachers in the area of classroom management. She has recently founded the Summer Seminar Courses in Classroom Management and Personal Growth for Teachers. She has more than 20 years of experience providing instructional support and teaching in urban, suburban, and rural districts, and extensive work with incarcerated youth. The author is a Lecturer at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she teaches courses in classroom management, effective teaching methods, and middle-level methods.  Her primary research area is in classroom management, specifically investigating the teacher as a leader regarding the student and teacher behavior interactions.  She is the author of the best-selling book, Keep CALM and Teach, an educational consultant and founder of the CALM Classroom Management Program, comprehensive behavior management, and teacher leader program that provides communication models to guide teachers and students to an inclusive and productive classroom.  Her professional learning supports new and veteran teachers for public and private schools, professional organizations, and university athletic department.  She has had extensive experience working with at-risk and incarcerated youth and has provided instructional support and teaching in urban, suburban, and rural districts.  Her latest publication is Keep Calm and Teach, which has provided university professors as a guide for classroom management, new teacher academies, and districts implement the methods for schoolwide behavior programs.  She has had various publications, webinars, online professional support programs, book studies with her book, and instructional coaching support for new teachers.  She has been a featured speaker at an international conference, has delivered keynotes, and offers breakout sessions.  She is the founder of an educator seminar, Super Power Teacher: Mindful Leader, A Calm Classroom, which concentrates on developing new teachers’ confidence by developing their inner-power to enhance their social-emotional learning as a teacher, which the new teacher will then be able to teach the methods to their students.
